World Communications Day

Today is World Communications Day. The theme of this year’s World Communications Day, the 56th , comes from Ephesians 4:15: Speaking with the heart, “The truth in love“. Pope Francis has released a letter on the theme for today. This can be read at:

In his letter Pope Francis says: “The call to speak with the heart, radically challenges the times in which we are living, which are so inclined towards indifference and indignation, at times even on the basis of disinformation which falsifies and exploits the truth.”

A retiring Collection will be taken at the back of both Churches this weekend to support the work of the Bishops’ Conference’s Catholic Communications Network in spreading the Good News of the Lord Jesus to the wider community.
