St. Teilo's with Our Lady of Lourdes has been supporting the work of the SVP for many years. Their work involves providing practical and meaningful help to those in need. Help comes in many forms; from providing a washing machine to someone in need, or a weekly shop for an individual, or family who simply cannot afford one. We help many people in our small way!

Suzie Rees, Membership Support Officer for the SVP, is to make an appeal for new members at all Masses on the weekend of April 27th and 28th . Interested parishioners will then be invited to a meeting in the parish hall at 7pm on Wednesday, May 1st , at 7.00pm for more information.

Clothes donations for the SVP

Clothes donations for the SVP The Parish St. Vincent De Paul (SVP) Conference undertakes a monthly collection of clothing for the SVP Charity Shop. Clean, good quality clothing, books and toys are very welcome. Donations may be left outside the confessionals at the rear of St. Teilo’s this weekend (14th April) . The clothes will be removed early on Monday morning, so please ensure that donations are brought to the Church by the end of the evening Mass this weekend or kept at home until the Second Sunday of May when we will have another collection. Thank you from the parish SVP.

National St. Vincent De Paul Young Adults Retreat

An invitation is extended to all Young Adults to come together for a weekend of meeting others who are passionate about making a difference in their local communities. It will be a weekend of prayer and reflection with times of volunteering and action. It will also include a visit to the SVP centre in Ely. The retreat will take place from November 24th - 26th at Hebron Hall Christian Centre, Cross Common Road, Dinas Powys. CF64 4YB. Cost: £50. The Parish Society of St. Vincent de Paul would like to thank all parishioners who donate via the SVP boxes at the back of the church. During the 2022-23 financial year £679.27 was collected via this method. Many thanks from the SVP members. The SVP confirms that your donations will be of great help to those in need.
