Clothes donations for the SVP – next Weekend The Parish St. Vincent De Paul (SVP) Conference undertakes a monthly collection of clothing for the SVP Charity Shop. Clean, good quality clothing, books and toys are welcome. Donations may be left outside the confessionals at the rear of St. Teilo’s next weekend, October 11th, and on the weekend of the Second Sunday of each month. Please ensure that donations are brought to the Church only on the specified Sundays, as we do not want the Church to become cluttered during the week. Thank you from the parish SVP

This month’s craft session takes place in the Parish Hall at St. Teilo’s next Saturday, October 10th from 10.30am – 12.30pm . The session is suitable for absolute beginners to experts. Visitation of the National Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and the Relics of Saints Jacinta and Francisco to the Metropolitan Cathedral, Cardiff  On the weekend of October 10th and 11th the National Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima along with relics of the visionaries will be visiting St. David’s Cathedral, Cardiff. This completes a yearlong tour of the cathedrals across England and Wales. All parishioners are welcome, indeed encouraged to take part. Saturday will follow this pattern: 09:40 – Welcome and Notices 09:50 – Procession of the National Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and the Relics of Ss Francisco and Jacinta Marto 10:00 – Enthronement, Reception of the Relics, Crowning, Incensing then Prayer for Wales 10:10 – Solemn Votive Mass of Our Lady of Fatima with the Consecration Prayer of the Archdiocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary 10:30 Confessions will be available. 11:30 – Archbishop and Clergy Veneration of the Relics and Official Photograph 11:45 – Veneration of the Relics of Ss Francisco and Jacinta 12:00 – Lunch 13:00 – 14:00 Holy Hour with the Chaplet of Adoration and Reparation 14:10 – Benediction with communal recitation/reflection on the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary 14:40 – Divine Mercy Chaplet 14:50 – Break 15:10 – Docu-film on "Fatima: Message for the World" 15:40 – Talk on the Message of Fatima 16:55 – Enrolment and Investiture of the Brown Scapulars 17:30 – Holy Mass (Vigil Mass of Sunday) 18:30 – Further opportunity for Veneration of the Relics of St. Francisco and St. Jacinta 18:45 – End of day 1. Sunday times are as follows: 11:00 – Holy Mass 12:00 – Veneration of the Relics of St. Francisco and St. Jacinta 12:20 – End of visit.

RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults • Are you someone without a formal religion who wants to be baptised in the Catholic faith? • Are you a Christian from another faith tradition who would like to be received into the Catholic Church? • Are you an interested inquirer who wants to find out more about the Catholic Faith? • Are you an adult who has missed out on the Sacrament of Confirmation? If any of the above applies to you, you are most welcome to join the Parish Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) programme which will run in the Parish Hall at St. Teilo’s on Wednesday evenings at 6pm beginning on Wednesday, October 7th . Please come along and discover more. Attendance does not commit you to completing the programme but is designed to allow you to reflect on God’s call for you. (The Parish Hall is accessed from the back of the Church building, between the Church and the Priest’s House.) Enrolment forms for the RCIA programme are now available at the back of both Churches.

Pope Leo XIV's apostolic letter ‘Dilexi Te’ and encyclical ‘Magnifica Humanitas’ call us to deepen our love for the poorest of our sisters and brothers. In this Artificial Intelligence age, Pope Leo recognises the vital importance of protecting the dignity of every human being. To help us answer this call, Caritas Cardiff-Menevia is holding a day at St. Mary’s Church, Bridgend next Saturday, October 10th . Raymond Friel OBE and Delyth Jewell MS will be the keynote speakers and there will be plenty of opportunity to share and discuss ideas and create new contacts. The idea is that everyone returns home re-energised and more able to live out their Christian calling faithfully. To register please email caritas@cardiffmenevia.org

St. Teilo’s Friends of Divine Mercy Prayer Group meets on Saturday, October 10th at 2.30pm in the Parish Hall. Everyone is welcome to come along to pray for the parish and the intentions of the parishioners.

We will have coffee and tea in the St. Pope John Paul II Chapel at Our Lady of Lourdes after the Mass on Wednesday. If you are at Mass on that day, please stay behind and spend some time socialising and sharing with our fellow parishioners.

Each Tuesday evening, the parish has an hour of silent Adoration at St. Teilo’s from 7pm to 8pm. The primary intention for the period of Adoration is vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Feel free to come for all or part of the hour to pray for the Church in its need for faithful ministers to continue the Mission of Jesus.
