Altar Servers
Altar Servers play a key role in the celebration of the Mass
Altar Servers are assistants to the celebrant during Mass. They carry out many duties during Mass, such as carrying the processional cross and candles and preparing the altar.
Currently there are approximately 20 Altar Servers who serve at each Sunday Mass and at other important liturgical celebrations such as Holy Week, Easter and Christmas celebrations.
Anyone who has received their First Holy Communion is eligible to become an Altar Server.
Being an Altar Server is a privileged and wonderful way of learning more about our Catholic faith by faithfully assisting the priest during Mass.
