Madeline Page
Member of the Parish Council
I am Madeleine and I have been a Parishioner of St. Teilo’s with Our Lady of Lourdes Parish for the last three and a half years.
Prior to coming to Cardiff I was Head Girl of Ampleforth College, a large Catholic School in Yorkshire. I came to Cardiff to study at the University and completed my BA (Hons) in Philosophy last year. My final dissertation focussed on the philosophical roots of the claim that a child’s life begins at the moment of conception. My commitment to the pro-life movement is close to my heart and I have been Director of the National Alliance of Pro-Life Students for a number of years. During my student years I was actively involved in the Catholic Students Society at the Chaplaincy and undertook one of my placements working for CAFOD Wales as their education and social media officer.
I have been involved in Parish life in a number of ways including involvement in parish faith discussion groups and working with Canon to plan a youth engagement for the Parish.
At the beginning of this year I was appointed to a full-time role in the Archdiocese as Archdiocesan Evangelisation and Education Officer. I am aware that my Archdiocesan work informs and helps develop the parish life through my role as a member of the Parish Advisory Council.
