Canon William Isaac, our Parish Priest, will be installed as a Canon of the Cathedral Chapter on 1st March 2016.
His Grace, the Archbishop of Cardiff, the Most Rev. George Stack, has written the following letter to the parishioners of the Parish of St. Teilo’s with our Lady of Lourdes to mark the occasion.
Dear Parishioners of St. Teilo’s with Our Lady of Lourdes,

On Tuesday 1st March, the feast day of St. David,
Fr. William Isaac will be installed as a Canon of the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. David, Cardiff. The installation will take place during the 12.00 noon Mass in the Cathedral. His appointment as Canon is an acknowledgement of his dedication and devotion as your parish priest and his work for the Diocese. It is also a recognition of the importance of St. Teilo’s with Our Lady of Lourdes in the life of the Archdiocese of Cardiff.
The Metropolitan Chapter was established in 1916 with the establishment of the Archdiocese of Cardiff and the Province of Wales. Between 1850 and 1916 this area was known as the Diocese of Menevia and Newport. The role of the Chapter is to ensure the worthy celebration of the liturgy in the Cathedral, celebrate the Divine Office and assist the Bishop in the governance of the Diocese.
I do hope that some parishioners from St. Teilo’s with Our Lady of Lourdes will be able to join us at St. David’s Cathedral on this happy occasion. You will be very welcome.
With every blessing.
+George Stack
Archbishop of Cardiff
