We gather face to face and online at 7pm on Saturday night for the Easter Vigil. According to a most ancient tradition, this night is “one of vigil for the Lord” and the Vigil celebrated during it commemorating that holy night when the Lord rose from the dead, is regarded as the “mother of all Masses.” For on this night, the Church keeps vigil, waiting for the Resurrection of the Lord. The Easter Vigil Mass is at 7pm, earlier than usual, to enable as many as possible to participate. The Vigil is the highpoint of the Christian Year and the central mystery of our faith.
In our current circumstances, there will be no Easter Fire. The Paschal Candle will be lit from another source.
St. Teilo’s will be open for the Easter Vigil today at 7.00pm. If you wish to attend Mass in person – booking will be by telephone on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Carole Burns is the contact and can be telephoned on 07747 562847 between 11am and 1pm on the Wednesday before (April 1st).
