World Youth Day 2016
The coach with the young people of our Archdiocese (including three young people from our own parish), will set out on Tuesday 19th July, to make their way to Poland for the World Youth Day being hosted by Pope Francis on Saturday 30th July.
Those from our Archdiocese will stay in the Archdiocese of Bialystok in northern Poland for the preparation ‘Day in the Diocese’ before proceeding south to Krakow to join over a million other young people for this extraordinary experience.
The young people will visit Auschwitz, the Shrine of Our Lady at Czestochowa and the Shrine of Divine Mercy en route. They will return to Cardiff on Monday 1st August. This will be a journey of a lifetime for them. Please pray for the young people, especially from our parish and Archdiocese, that they may experience all the blessings of this event and be reaffirmed in their faith.
Our sincere thanks to those who donated to support the costs of the three young people from our parish who are attending. Special thanks to the two people who recently gave very generous donations, amounting to £2000 between them, to support the young people.
